4534 1/2 University Wy NEA lot of my clients are navigating shifting identity, multiple marginalizations, complex trauma, and the exhaustion that comes from living through late-stage capitalism. I understand firsthand what it feels like to deeply struggle with complexity, holding the deeply painful parts of life while striving to live joyfully as an act of resistance.
My number one goal is to help you feel really, truly seen as your whole self. Not just the parts of yourself that you know how to explain, the parts that you show the world, or the parts that match the labels you claim. I’m here for the messy, the real, the things you’re afraid to tell anyone about.
My approach is very person-first. Your needs come first, and the trust we build together is central to our work. I lead with compassion and humility – you will always be the expert on your own life and experiences, and my role is to support you in feeling like the fullest, best version of yourself. I’m not a conventional blank-slate, always-neutral therapist. I utilize self-disclosure with explicit consent when we feel it would benefit you to know more about who I am as a human being. I never want you to feel alone or alien. If you want my advice or opinion, you’re welcome to ask, and I will give you an honest answer. Conversely, if you just want support in finding your own answers, that’s great too! I might challenge you to expand your comfort zone in either direction from time to time. I value direct communication and honest feedback, and I will regularly ask you how well you feel you are being served by therapy and what could be improved.
I use a wide variety of modalities, including elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Theory, and Gottman principles, which I blend based on my clients' individual needs and preferences. I’m always learning more and adding to my toolkit. All modalities and approaches are tailored to center neurodiversity, trauma-informed approaches, and an intersectional justice lens. I also bring more than a decade of lived experience as a queer, transgender, and ENM/polyamorous person. I have lived a rich life in community and supported others through countless intricate dynamics.

My path to social work wasn't linear. I trained first as a naturopathic physician, which gave me a deep appreciation for how bodies, environments, and social contexts shape mental health — and how rarely anyone treats them as interconnected. These perspectives still inform my clinical work today, even though I am not currently actively practicing Naturopathic Medicine. Some of the most important foundations of health that naturopaths focus on (sleep, daily routines, time outside, supportive relationships) are often best addressed in therapy, because significantly changing one’s lifestyle and routines generally requires weekly support over months. In that way, I feel I am still doing the majority of what I love about being a naturopathic doctor – supporting others in their own path to health and wellbeing.
