4534 1/2 University Wy NEI currently accept private payments on a sliding scale ($75-175). I also accept Premera, Lifewise, and some BCBS plans. I am happy to help you check your coverage.
If I am not able to accept your insurance, I can help you get reimbursed for a portion of the fee by providing a monthly “superbill” that you can submit to your insurance company. Contact your insurance company to find out more about your plan.
I offer a sliding scale to acknowledge that our access to resources is often determined by systemic factors. I prioritize my lower-cost slots for QTBIPOC and disabled individuals without earned income. If you have the means to pay the Supporter rate, you are directly making it possible for someone else to receive care. The rate you choose is determined entirely by you – I do not ask for income verification of any sort. However, please be mindful that Sponsored slots are extremely limited, and honestly consider what you are able to sustainably pay. You are welcome and encouraged to switch slots to reflect your current economic situation at any time, just let me know.
The Supporter Tier
$175
This is the actual cost of the service. I have access to savings, inherited wealth, or a high-income household.
The Sustainer Tier
$125
I have a stable income, can meet my monthly bills, and have some discretionary income.
The Sponsored Tier
$75
I struggle to meet basic needs. I face systemic barriers to wealth (QTBIPOC, disabled, etc.).
For each client paying at The Supporter Tier, I open one slot on the Sponsored Tier. These spots do not go away if someone moves off of the Supporter tier, but I will wait until there are more Supporters than Sposoreds to open an additional Sponsored spot. Clients paying at a Sustainer tier due to lack of availability on the Sustainer tier may request to be added to a priority waitlist for Sponsored spots.
Payment is due at the time of the session. You will provide a debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card during enrollment in the online portal. Receipts and superbills are available in the patient portal upon request.
You have the right to request a formal Good Faith Estimate of the cost of therapy. Your Good Faith Estimate can be calculated by multiplying your fee by 50 (weekly minus 2 for vacations/holidays/cancellations). So, if you are paying $125/session at the Sustainer Tier, your annual Good Faith Estimate would be $6250/year. You have the right to dispute your bill if you are billed more than $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate.
Fees may be increased annually after December 31st. Fee increases will be communicated to existing clients with a minimum of 30 days’ notice.
No-shows will be charged your full session fee. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours’ notice) are charged a flat $50 fee. One no-show per calendar year (defined as less than 3 hours’ notice of cancellation) and one late cancellation per quarter can be waived upon request. This policy is enforced uniformly.
Individual therapy and couples/family sessions are about 50 minutes and occur once weekly (for at least the first 8 weeks). If you are going through a particularly challenging moment in life, you are welcome to request a second weekly session. If, after 8 or more weeks of therapy, you would like to move to every other week, you may request to do so.
After three consecutive no-shows or late cancellations, you will receive a notice of discontinuation of services, your future appointments will be canceled, and your appointment slot will no longer be held. However, you may always reach out and ask if it is possible to resume therapy, and we will discuss whether that works for both of us based on availability and current barriers to attendance.
How long to be in therapy is a very individual choice and depends on your goals, challenges, and commitment to change. Limited symptom-based goals can sometimes be accomplished in a matter of weeks, whereas deep, far-reaching trauma work can take many years. We will work together to create goals in our first sessions together and review them periodically throughout treatment. You are welcome to check in about this at any time.
I offer support to polycules, couples, and families at a flat rate of $175 per 50-minute session. In these sessions, we will prioritize building communication, trust, and respect. All relationships and family structures are welcome without judgment as long as these core goals are agreed upon.
As a solo telehealth practitioner, your privacy and safety are my top concerns. Transparency around privacy practices is crucial when we’re talking about sharing the most intimate details of our lives with someone else. I’m working hard to ensure that your personal information is as secure as possible. I am committed to protecting your information by not using cloud-based large language models (LLMs) to handle any of your data. I have chosen an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system called TherapyStack that does not use any AI technologies to handle your data. I also use Proton (mail, file storage, etc.) and iPlum (phone) in my practice with signed Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) – I invite you to explore their privacy and security policies and reach out anytime with questions or concerns. All new clients are provided with a Notice of Privacy Practices with additional information, which is also available to prospective clients upon request.
